Julian co-founded Mobrio with Chris Hennings, Mobrio's CTO, in 2003.
With over thirty years international business management experience gained exclusively in high-technology firms, Julian has had operational involvement in numerous hardware and software technology projects in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America.
A pioneer of the mobile entertainment industry, he co-founded one of the world's first mobile games companies in 1995. A decade later, as chairman, he managed the disposal of IOMO, the UK's leading independent mobile games development studio, to a NASDAQ-quoted technology company.
In addition to his duties at Mobrio, Julian is the non-executive chairman of Metismo Ltd., a mobile technology company, and a non-executive director of Muzicall Limited, Europe's leading Ringback Tone company.
Julian holds an MSc in Management from the University of London and is a Sloan Fellow of the London Business School.
Chris co-founded Mobrio with Julian Swallow, Mobrio's CEO, in 2003.
Chris has played an influential role in the introduction and exploitation of novel information and communication technologies for over twenty years. After training as an Economist at the University of Exeter, Chris worked as a consultant, implementor and manager specialising in the areas of corporate information systems, business analysis, project and system development processes, change management, software system design and human factors.
During the 1990s, Chris worked with major mobile network operators, handset manufacturers and software deveopers on the conception, design, development and deployment of novel mobile devices and services. His focus is now high-availablility server and communication technologies and the client-facing web services that they enable.
Chris believes that for complex technologies to succeed, they must be transparent to the customer - best products simply, "do what you want", "work how you expect" and "do the right thing - first time".
Yulia graduated from the State Linguistic University of Kiev where she studied English, German and Management, obtaining a Master's degree in Organizational Management.
Yulia has been a consultant / interpreter at International House, North Carolina, USA, where she was involved in the Citizen Diplomacy Programme that hosted groups of professionals from CIS countries.
In 2005, whilst working in the scientific and industrial concern "Science", she was involved in the European project on Technology Transfer and participated in the international conference on "Company Networking for Improved Innovation and Industrial Performance" which took place in Fribourg, Switzerland.
John is one of the most experienced mobile software architects in the world.
Having obtained a first class honours degree in Computer Engineering from City University, London, John commenced a ten year career with Psion Computers where he contributed significantly to the body of software code that lies at the heart of Symbian OS, the world's leading mobile phone operating system.
John was a founder of Purple Software, which grew rapidly to become the industry's leading independent developer of software applications for mobile devices. His role as Chief Technical Officer culminated in the company being awarded the first ever BAFTA for a mobile computer game in October 2002.
John's twenty year experience of designing compact software applications includes a deep understanding of all the leading mobile operating systems.
Simon is a partner in the London office of Bird & Bird. Bird & Bird is a leading international commercial law firm with over 630 lawyers around the world.
A corporate securities lawyer, his practice involves advising emerging technology companies on equity financings, flotations and M&A transactions. He focuses particularly on advising companies regarding flotations on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market.
Simon has served as a non-executive director of FUN Technologies Plc, a provider of online gaming services. He is currently a director of Betbull Plc, a European retail betting group.
Simon is the author of the chapter on domestic flotations in Palmers Company Law.
Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1994.
Nick has worked in new media and entertainment for almost thirty years. He started his career at EMI working in music and home computer software.
In 1983, he joined Virgin to establish its first computer games publishing business where he also worked in book publishing, early interactive media and with Virgin Atlantic Airways. Virgin sold its games business to Sega of Japan in 1991, at which time Nick became CEO of Sega Europe.
Following success at Sega Europe, he joined the Pearson Group to establish a magazine and video cassette publishing business. There he acquired Future Publishing for £52m and became Executive Chairman. Four years later, he sold the business back to its original owner and management for £150m, having more than doubled turnover to £100m, whilst more than quadrupling profits to £11m.
He now leads a portfolio existence as chairman, non-executive director and consultant for a wide range of businesses. He was most recently chairman of Player X, an international mobile media company successfully sold in mid 2009 to international market leader Zed. He has been involved with several fund raisings and two IPOs.
Nick obtained an MA from Christ Church, Oxford and is Vice President of the college's alumni organisation. He spends much of his free time tending 40 acres in the English countryside trying to create his "ill informed" idea of 18th century semi-formal parkland.
Garry is an experienced international business executive with a financial management background gained predominantly in the Engineering sector.
Garry has held general and financial management roles at several leading engineering businesses including a total of twelve years at ABB where he gained significant exposure to international operations in Africa, the Americas and the Near and Far East.
In the late 90s, he co-founded a fine food company which owns internationally-renowned brands. As CEO he grew the company organically and through acquisition.
In 2004, he led the management buy out of a £100m professional services company operating in the building services industry where he is currently CEO and the largest shareholder.
Garry has studied at IMD in Lausanne and the ABB Academy, is a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, holds an MSc in Management from the University of London and is a Sloan Fellow of the London Business School.
His most notable achievements include an ascent on the north face of Mount Kenya (17,058 ft.) and completing a 56 mile ultra-marathon in 10 hours, 23 minutes.
